IJCK

Greetings Earthlings!!! I'll try to introduce myself - the K.I.S.S. way (Keep It Short and Simple)... I am Ina, 19, eldest daughter.

Besides being weird, I am simple, quite imaginative and of course, a cat lover (Ailurophile). I also have a lot of extra curricular things in my life like doing DIYs, writing stories in Wattpad, blogging, playing the piano, and the thing that I am most proud of is being a professional bathroom singer..

Anyways.... I am also a college student taking Business Administration Major in Marketing Management. And as any student would go through, we always introduce ourselves on the first day of classes (Even if we are already 4th year students). Introduce yourself, what's your name, age, where do you live, why did you take this course, what are your goals, what do you want to become 10 or 20 years from now? Those are just basic questions, yet sometimes it takes about a few minutes for me to think of an answer.

My name is Ina Joyce C. Kagakit, you can call me Ina or Ins for short. I am 19 years old, I live in Dasmarinas Cavite. I took the course BA Marketing Mngt. simply because I also want to be an entrepreneur someday and to help my family so that I can give them a more comfortable life. Some of my goals is to become a marketing professional and have my own business someday. Another is that when I have a job in the future, I won't settle on being an employee, but I want to be an employer of my own employees.

This introduction is supposed to be short, but it seems a bit long. TeeHee :))

The Acne Prone Kid's Journey

As a kid, I didn't really care about pimples or acne. Then came the high school life. Pimples weren't around me during that time. BUT! During my 3rd year and so on years? Pimples decided to be my friend. Really sad..... I know..... Then came college life......

DUN.DUN.DUN.

During my first year, everything was fine. Then came second year.......

Another DUN.DUN.DUN

Well, at this stage pimples decided to use my face as a habitat. How dare you pimples (T^T) From that time, I started to be more aware of pimples. First, I used facial cleansers. Then it didn't work. I think that when you use cleansers, of course they will help you fight pimple blah blah blah. But if you start noticing that the cleanser's power of reducing your pimples slows down, it might be that your skin gets immune with the cleanser that it gives you the reason to level up or find another remedy.

Anyways, after using not just a cleanser but DIFFERENT and MANY cleansers, I asked for Google's help. I kept on researching everything about pimples. Searched for natural remedies, face masks, reviews about pimple cleansers, ingredients used in cleansers, and many many more. There are times when my pimples weren't around, as if they were having a week vacation away from my face. Yet there are more times where they decide to have a stay-cation in their habitat, my face (T^T)

I could really say that this acne prone kid's journey was really though. Tried cleansers, facial washes, and it came to the point where I tried some spices. I used onions, tomatoes, lemon, banana, baking soda, calamansi, etc. I can't even remember all of it. Now, every time I remember myself using all of those remedies, I just laugh at myself. Especially when I was using onions and tomatoes? It felt like I was cooking something in my face that I thought my face was a frying pan (T^T)

Believe me, it is really painful and quite depressing. I can still remember those times when I really feel hopeless, I just cry it out. My parents even wanted me to go to the dermatologist and take a facial treatment but I hesitated 'cause my skin might get used with facials and not the natural way. If some people think that acne prone individuals like me exaggerate when we cry, we don't really exaggerate. It's just that, like me, whenever I see myself covered up with pimples, I feel very overwhelmed that there is this automatic feeling of slight depression.

But what's important is that we never lose hope and just keep on trying. Painful as it may seem, I don't want to give up. As of the moment, I still have troubles with my pimples and I am currently using this certain product (I will post some products that I am using and give my reviews) for my pimples.

So to those people like me, an acne prone person, never lose hope. Even if you are acne prone, if you have slight, moderate or heavy pimple problems, always remember that even if we have those skin problems we are still B-E-A-UTIFUL! TeeHee :)

Don't lose hope!

DIY film lantern

Lights! Camera! Action!

But for this DIY, I only made a light. And by light, I mean a lantern. As a DIY lover, there are days that all I do is scroll, scroll, and scroll all day with different blogs, pinterest, tumblr, and so much more. Then I saw this cool and really classy-looking DIY film lantern. The films give the lantern a vintage look.

I saw this DIY on pinterest but the only thing was that this DIY post didn't provide any tutorial, so I'll try to give my own tutorial.

Tools you'll need:
a transparent box
films
mod podge
scissors
mason jar
candle (or led candles)

Steps:

1. The transparent box that I used was a box for a stuffed toy. With your transparent box, measure the length of your film so that it fits and can cover the whole box.

2. Use the mod podge (or you can mix water with glue having the same amount *if you don't have mod podge*) to stick all the films to cover up the whole box.

3. Get a mason jar or any jar (I used a jar of sandwich spread) and remove the lid.

4. Put the candle inside the jar. And for this, I took a long candle then I just cut it into a smaller one so that its size is only half of the jar, because if it is longer than the length of the jar it could be dangerous. (To make it more safe, I suggest to use led candles)

And you're done!

This is a very simple, yet very creative DIY. I am also proud to say that all of the materials used in making this DIY are all RECYCLED. Not all DIYs need newly brought materials and it doesn't have to be expensive. So whenever you create DIYs, before you buy something, try to look around you and you might see a material that you can recycle.

DIY guitar bag \m/

There was this one time when I wanted to learn how to play a bass guitar because I was so amazed whenever I watch somebody play the bass guitar in youtube \m/ Then I realized that maybe playing bass guitar is not my thing (T^T) BUT! I shall not give up! So instead of forcing myself or trying to play a bass guitar, I looked at another angle..........
TING! TING! TING! A DIY bass guitar bag! The picture above is the one that I made. Seems legit. I know. Fortunately, I found a blog that made a DIY tutorial for this project and also saw it on pinterest. Here it is.....
You can see the tutorial here. When I saw this I was so amazed that I quickly looked for the materials that I will be using. Then there was this problem..... I don't have a sewing machine.....
JAN-JAN-JAAAAAAN!
(insert sad face)
That factor made this DIY project quite complicated for me. But then again, I looked at another angle and saw my hands. So I hand-stitched it all, from the inside to the outside and for some decorations I just used fabric glue. Then when I was done with all the stitching, I said to myself that it really seems legit TeeHee :)
Now, whenever I use it I have this tiny feels that I am playing a bass guitar. This is one EPIC DIY *for me*

No Sew DIY Adventure Time Sleep/Eye mask

What time is it? It's Adventure Time!
Greetings DIY lovers! And to those starbucks lover! #Swiftie ....... Anyways, here is another DIY that I made and I did this the night before one of my friend's birthday.
As I was thinking of a gift that I will give to my friend for her birthday, I remembered that she loves Adventure Time. Then when I was searching for a DIY  gift, I stumbled upon this great list of DIY gifts and....
 CHAN-CHA-RA-RAAAAAN!
DIY Adventure Time Eye Mask! And it's a No Sew version. So I ended up making this and as a character, I chose Jake the dog. Luckily, I found a yellow eye mask! TeeHee :)
Tools you'll need:
eye mask
some fabric
glue gun/fabric glue
Steps:
1. Cut out some fabric for the eyes of Jake the dog, so you need to cut out two (2) circles: White (smaller) Black (bigger).
2. Stick it with a glue gun or fabric glue. Make sure that the black fabric is under the white one.
3. For the nose, cut out a U shape on a yellow fabric then for support you could add a fabric that's a bit hard on the back of the yellow fabric.
4. Cut a little oval on your black fabric for the center of the nose.
5. Stick it again with your glue gun or fabric glue. Then you're done!
So if ever you feel sleepy and want to have a good night sleep? Go ahead and make your own version of this DIY Eye mask :)
It's Adventure Time!
